Fortinet Upgrades VPN/Firewall Lineup
The FortiGate 3000 features a firewall with 3 Gbits/s throughput, 300 Mbits/s of VPN throughput with triple-DES encryption, and antivirus and intrusion-detection capabilities. The FortiGate 3000 comes with three 1 Gbits/s ports and three 10/100 Ethernet ports, and like other Fortinet gateways, uses the proprietary FortiASIC chip for high-speed virus scanning, intrusion detection, and encryption. The FortiGate 3000, which sells for around $20,000, is available immediately.
