Commerce One, SAP Upgrade Apps
The new versions move Commerce One more deliberately into the direct goods arena, with apps geared to product lifecycle management, collaboration, procurement and financial settlement, said Mike Micucci, vice president of solutions strategy. "This will let companies optimize the design, buying, selling and extending those processes to other enterprises," he said. To that end, MarketSet meshes collaboration, procurement and analytics in a single platform, allowing companies to share product and sourcing information to multiple partners in their supply chain. Enterprise Buyer, meanwhile, has been bolstered with the ability to let suppliers and buyers invoke bi-directional change orders, letting participants alter orders as they see fit. The app will also dovetail with financial settlement capabilities, allowing companies to settle bills online. Both apps are available now; pricing begins at more than $1 million, depending upon the capabilities requested. Meanwhile, Commerce one also rolled out MarketWise, a set of consulting services geared at helping marketplace operators attract new customers and improve the performance of their exchanges. The service is available now. |
